Oh, I'm enjoying my vacation. xD

First of all, I graduated, woo! Another year full of being stuck with all those idiots! xD Well, it's a really enjoyable bunch of idiots so yeah, I'm good. =3

Well, I decided to work on my 3DS Max skills a bit to make this vacation more or less productive, since I don't really have anything else to do and that I think I needed to spruce them skills up a bit for upcoming school assignments next school year. Well, I do what most newbies do, follow some of them tutorials!

Well, I followed a nice tutorial, and eventually it came to the applying materials part. Turns out the materials (.mat files to make effects like glass, ice, water, etc.) I needed to complete the tutorial aren't there. So I searched around the interwebz, turns out: EVERY FREAKING DOWNLOADED (both legal and illegal) VERSION OF 3DSMAX MISSES THE .mat LIBRARIES. They're only present on the DVD disk version. D8<
That's really a fail from Autodesk's end, no? Giving downloading customers an incomplete product. Heh... Well, I suppose I could copy the .mat files from the 3DS Max version of school, but I won't have access to them till September.

Fortunately I can create those materials myself too, but hey, it's so troublesome. xD

Yeah, gotta slap my past self in the face. Why?

Well, I recently downloaded The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of ages and Seasons, because I read the manga adaptions and never played the two games before. Damn, those games are fun! Already beaten Ages, now I'm onwards to the third dungeon in Seasons.
Damn, I should've gotten these two games back in my younger days. Would've spared lots of boredom back then. xD


Lack of school gives more space for my creativity. I have many ideas I want to work out but I don't have as much hands to work on it all simultaneously. xD Oh well, I have a lot of free time, so I'll get them all done in time. xD


Saturday 18th of July, there's a major gaming event in Rotterdam! Previews, reviews, playing games, trailers, (game)art, shows, workshops, competitions.. From 12:00 till 23:00. I'm sure as hell going!
Also, several videogame characters will be running around there as well, I'm one of them. I'm going as Riku (Org. XIII coated version,) from Kingdom Hearts, so I'll be hard to miss. X3 I hope it's not going to be all that hot...
