WAS AWESOME! My feet hurt... xD

I forgot to add the most awesome part of the day! xD ^_^"

I went to the convention as Sakata Gintoki from the anime series Gintama . Met up with on the way (who incidentally, was kinda forced to hang out with me all day since she could get a train ticket for a reduced price through me xD), and headed for the convention.
When I entered the convention hall and flashed my ticket, a Sa-chan (who ironically, couldn't see anything with her glasses ON xD) and a Katsura cosplayer came storming my way, shouting GINTOKI!!!! XD I never thought I'd meet other Gintama cosplayers, but hey, I'm always in for surprises. So we took a picture together. Of course, the 'Zura' joke had to be made, too. xD Not long after I met a fellow Gintoki cosplayer too.

After that, I went to the dealer room, with all the good stuff. But, there was a massive waiting line (in order to prevent thievery), so I just stood there, talking to other people randomly about cosplay, anime series and such. Well, after 45 minutes (at least, it felt like that xD) I finally got inside, storming from table to table to see all the collectibles and merchandise and manga's and ooooh... *drools* You never bring enough money, that's for sure. xD

Spent a good while in that room, buying the following things:

- a Yojimbo and Kogoro (Yojimbo's dog) figure. It was so incredibly detailed, I just HAD to buy it. Not to mention Final Fantasy X was an awesome game, and this figure certainly does justice to Yojimbo and Kogoro. The seller forgot the box that was supposed to come with it, so I was really careful with it. It made it to my home in one piece, fortunately.

- 2 Gintama keychains! However, these keychains have cookie/candy like appearances, and they came in a small closed -you can't see what's inside- package, so I actually thought they were Gintama cookies, judging from the packages. Since I couldn't see which characters I'd get, I opened them. I got Gintoki and A FREAKING JUSTAWAY!! Those Justaways are awesome.. xDD I squealed with joy, literally!

- .Hack: Infection for the PS2. It never got released in Europe, and I wanted to try the game when I had read the manga, but importing stuff is expensive. Got this game, totally new, for a bargain. When I finish Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope on my 360 I'm going to give this game a go! It also came with a 45 minute bonus DVD of the anime, so I'll watch that sometime later, too.

- an Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca (or Lady Ashe for short) Square-Eenix FFXII Play Arts figure. Ashe is my favorite character from Final Fantasy XII, I don't know why, but she is, and the play art looked so awesome, and it was 20 euros cheaper than in the store of whom I know where they sell those play arts too. The figure came with a stand, the holy sword she gets from the gods (forgot the name of that thing) during the game, and of course the figure itself with replaceable hands. Awesome stuff!

After that, I went to the cafetaria which was too overpriced (4 euros for a freaking sandwich, come on!), so I was glad I brought my own food. xD

Then I met up with the following peeps we were familiar with (in no particular order) (and her sister)

I think I know too much people. xD

Afterwards I returned home with and a bunch of other people. xD Then I decided to mindfuck my village and went through the village in my cosplay. xD



Can't believe I forgot this part. At some point during the convention, a Asian-looking girl came walking up to me asking me in Dutch with a very heavy foreign accent 'take picture?' So I was like oh sure! She recognized my Gintoki cosplay, and she took a picture of me with her mobile phone. Then she was making gestures to me that she wanted to take a picture of us together too, so we did. Then I saw all that Japanese text on her mobile phone, and then she said thanks and bowed down for me. I was like 'oh shit, she's Japanese! O_O So I went on the photo with a Japanese girl! I think that's pretty awesome. XD



I saw some cosplayers who looked exactly like their anime/manga/game counterparts. There really was a really good Yuna cosplayer and a really good Lulu (both from FFX) cosplayer. Of course Link from The Legend of Zelda was present. Those Vocaloid cosplayers had awesome costumes, too. But there was 1 cosplay that was just too awesome.

That cosplay was the Wedding Dress Yuna also from Final Fantasy X. She walked around with the Wedding Costume Seymour. The dress was really awesome. I have a picture of it, and I will upload it to here later.

The most weird cosplay was Papa Mario! xDD There was a man, I estimate in his 40/50's, with his kids there. He was cosplaying Mario, and therefore became known as Papa Mario throughout the whole convention. Hahaha.
